The first prints have been produced and they look stunning. We are printing them on 330g Fine art paper which has a beautiful feel to it. There are 10 images in total that are getting the treatment. Originally I wanted to hand screen print all the images but there was a loss of tonal quality which killed the photographic feel. These are not photographic reproductions though. I wanted these prints to be very unique and special. Each image has been put through various layer and colour changes which produce a subtle ‘pop art’ feel similar to screen prints. Once all 10 images have been printed I will announce pricing and quantities available.

Thanks very much to Professional Photographer magazine for an ace night at the PPOTY 2011 awards.  Delighted to win the Portfolio award and runner-up News/Editorial photographer.  The three shots that won the portfolio prize were always intended to be ‘in your face’ and they looked incredible printed to A2 at the awards ceremony and exhibition.  It is all about the final result in photography and the three shots pictured resulted in 2 cut fingers, 2 soggy feet and 2 very bruised knees! Pictured are all the winners and runners-up in order of height!

PPOTY 2011 / EDITORIAL NEWS – RUNNER-UP

Six Hour Sundown are a new band fronted by the one and only Lauren Harris.  I shot this video for them using the Nikon D3S. It was shot at Millennium studios in Bedfordshire on a sound stage using follow spots and a 30 foot digital LED wall.  Once everything was set we did a few takes of the song and got the whole thing wrapped within 5 hours!  

The Banger guys shot it with a lot of additional footage from Andy and Nick who do the professional filming at every show. In all there was about 2o cameras covering the show from all over. I had to attach the shot below of my good friend Martin Hawkes from Banger.  Squid the Maiden sound tech is lighting a cigarette which is sticking out of the back of his trousers.  I have no idea how it got there…honest! Martin is a really great camera guy so this DVD will be incredible –  with or without our help!
