Cornwall totally rocks in its own very special way. Spent a few days decorating the gaff after the builders had finished. Top bit of craftmanship fixing some of the old beams. The place is getting ready for a very special New Years eve! Back into London tomorrow which will blow my mind after the last few days of tranquility. Would of loved a band to shoot down there because the skies were just awesome.
The sky when I arrived!

Hey Bob can ya fix it?

Yes you can!

View as I was leaving!

JEEZ! I am totally knackered! Just got back from New York. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks with no time for myself unless you count 7 hours on a long haul flight. All went well at the Roadrunner concert. I shot some nice session stuff with some of the bands on the bill inbetween the rehearsals during the week. Can you believe it was -7c. Seriously -7 degrees!!! Thats the kind of cold that if the wind blows right your face feels like it is falling off. Machinehead are as hard as nails - they didn’t mind the cold at all! A bit disapointed that Max Cavalera didn’t show. I heard there was a lot of politics behind the scenes. No Sepultura reunion! Gutted! I shouldn’t moan! The last few days have been a blast. Thanks to Roadrunner for looking after us.
Crazy Taxi stuff below and Rob Flynn. I’ll get some live stuff up as soon as I finish editing! Had to do everything digitally because of the Christmas deadlines. What really annoys me is sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours editing!

Backstage at the Nokia Theatre - Just before stage time. Rob (Machinehead) & Brian (Shadowsfall)

Corey from Slipknot dropped in.

Ville Valo also stepped in for a Type o’ Negative song and kept myself and Jamie (Hammer Ed) entertained in the evenings.
Here is Ville sporting this years winter look!

In Cornwall - Back Wednesday!
A quick sale before Christmas. Green Day in London. It’s a ‘First Print’ from what will be a limited run of only 25 in total. Auction ends Saturday and will be posted Monday Special delivery in time for Christmas. I am happy for it to go at a tenner!

Sorry for the delay updating the blog but I was away in New Jersey all last week shooting the band Disturbed. I nearly didn’t make it back after a massive snow storm hit the North East putting everything under a few feet of snow.
This was my view out of my hotel on Friday Morning.

American TV can sensationalise anything into a drama! ‘Storm Watch’, ‘Snow Alert’, ‘War on Snow’.

Ok there wasn’t a war on snow but you would think it was Nuclear fall out that had appeared over night the way the news channels were reporting it!
The band Disturbed have just had a #1 on the Billboard chart with their latest album and have sold 3.5m albums to date!
This portrait of Dave was taken in my hotel room. He was in a great mood and it took a while to get him to look sinister. He has a massive dog called Lisa which he had with him.

The two band shots below were taken in the venue in New Jersey. I was a bit pissed off because I had found a killer location in front of an old railway carriage but the band refused to go outside because it was a ‘bit’ cold. It was actually fairly warm at the time of the shoot. My problem shooting inside was that the Jaiggermeister fairy had put Disturbed posters all over the venue. I could of taken them down but because I wasn’t allowed to shoot outside I didn’t want to bother! As it turns out I think the shots have a certain mood to them.

Back to New York tomorrow to shoot Roadrunner Records 25th Anniversary show. I’ll upload some shots when I get back.
If anyone needs me I will be drunk in Cornwall with a fishing rod - trying to catch dinner?
